The Bexley Community Author Series (BCAS) brings more than 700 people from all over Central Ohio to our community to be inspired by renowned, critically-acclaimed authors like Richard Ford, Elizabeth Strout, and Colson Whitehead.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome New York Times bestselling author and journalist Susan Orlean as the featured guest for the 2020 BCAS. Heralded as “a national treasure” by The Washington Post, Ms. Orlean’s newest release, The Library Book, was an instant New York Times bestseller. A breathtaking exploration of the history, power, and future of libraries, The Library Book was named a top book by The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Goodreads Book Club Picks. Ms. Orlean’s 1998 book, The Orchid Thief, inspired the Academy Award-winning film Adaptation, and she is a long-time staff writer at The New Yorker, and a former contributing editor at Rolling Stone and Vogue.
This unique community event is brought to you in partnership with The Bexley Community Foundation, 90.5 WCBE, Gramercy Books, Capital University, Bexley City School District, and Giant Eagle.
