Thank you for the invite to participate in the up-coming events scheduled in 2024! I have come to appreciate the hospitality of this extraordinary Library. The people who work here to make our visits more enjoyable is not lost on us either! Ben and his Staff always extend that extra smile and suggestion when helping a patron. The auditorium activities are numerous and in such a scale of variety that a person is bound to find one or three that fits perfectly in the moment! I've experienced many libraries since I went to my first "Story Book Time" and they were all very nice...but none can compare to The Family Atmosphere that greets people who walk through The Big Brass Door! Thank you for my Library Card!

I have very fond memories of going on field trips from Montrose, walking down the alley, to the library. I also have great memories of the children’s programs offered when I was little. I loved the arts and crafts!

Now, as an adult I have rediscovered some awesome programs offered here! It is such a delight to be able to walk through the same historic front door as I walked through as a child. Main Street has changed a lot since then but I am glad the face of the library hasn’t.

"I remember taking a picture with Robot with my bookmark last year. That was fun! Also, I met my best friend at the library! We met at baby story time, and we are still best friends."

"I remember taking a picture with a friend in the astronaut set up last year during the summer reading program. It was so fun!"

As a parent, I’ve loved watching my kids’ love of the library develop. First as toddlers in the play area, then as elementary children visiting monthly with their classes and currently as they get engaged with programming.

The library offers so much to our young Bexley residents!

Thanks for all you offer our family!

What a delight to be able to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bexley Library! Probably my first trip to this library was in 1969 or 1970 when I needed more resources than were available in the Reynoldsburg Branch of the Columbus Library for high school papers. I loved traveling to Bexley for research! Now, over 50 years later, and having been a patron of libraries on three continents (numerous countries), I still love coming "home," traveling down Main Street and seeing the library, still standing strong, a symbol of learning and enjoyment for thousands of people. Now, I volunteer at my local library in Alexandria, Virginia, helping with programs and just doing the mundane tasks of accepting deliveries and shelving books, but so much of my life-long love of libraries started right here. Thank you Bexley!

I had just discovered that I had COVID. My first response was to call the Bexley Library to ask that a book be delivered. In a matter of half an hour the book was delivered. When I opened the door I saw something yellow and I wondered what that could be. I was a beautiful artificial rose. That rose is still in my home. It is a testament to the kindness of a librarian named Mary and a testimony to all gracious librarians. Thank you, Mary and all employees of the Bexley Library for going the extra mile.

Since moving to Columbus in May 2009, I've relied on the Bexley Public Library for education and entertainment.

BPL has saved me well over $20,000 in books, CDs and DVDs over the 15 years. I've also enjoyed attending special author and music events and seeing the variety of local art adorning the walls.

The library is a delightful community space where I expand my knowledge and find my next great read! Thank you to the Bexley Public Library staff, board of directors, and the voters who consistently vote to support it!

BPL is always a place I know I can come to for fun reading, diving deep into my masters program, or just to have a quiet place outside of home. I always enjoy the smiling faces, and helpful folks who work at BPL. It's my "home away from home." - Coryn Gonzales

I came to bpl as a child myself, after school to work on homework or browse the magazines with friends. now that im grown with my own children i am so glad to bring them back here. one of my favorite memories is as young mother, i brought my toddler one evening all dressed for pajama dance party, however i had gotten the days wrong, i was feeling very embarrassed having dragged him out and not dressed appropriatley for public. miss julie jumped right in and put on dance party for us and anyone else who happened to be playing in the childrens area that evening. - Hannah Loveless

Shout out to our library staff who are the ABSOLUTE BEST. We're all down with covid at our house (we're on the mend) and the library folks have pulled a stack of books and crafts for our kids and are DELIVERING them to our doorstep this afternoon.

I'm always amazed by how awesome everyone there is, but we're particularly in love with the Youth Services staff. - JM

I wanted to share something fun with you all. I lived in Columbus for a year, 2019—2020, and wrote a novel during that time. I wrote the majority of that book in your quiet room, which was perfectly suited to my needs. It was a lovely place and my encounters with your staff were always so nice. Anyway, I'm proud to say that I sold that book. It will be published in January 2024. I just wanted to express my appreciation and thanks—so, thank you! - ZC

On behalf of the East High School Administrative Team, I wanted to say thank you for accommodating us this week. Your team of professionals were phenomenal. They were very welcoming, accessible, and efficient. We were grateful that we were able to go to our neighborhood library and continue with educating our students, as well as meet the needs of our families. Your staff's smiling faces, and genuine customer service assured us that we made the right decision to work within your facility. We wish you and your staff continued success. Job well done!! -KW

I just wanted to acknowledge JOSH for a successful presentation last night of The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in the Auditorium. He hosted an enthusiastic crowd that appeared to be pleased with the show. After all, Josh did his "homework" when it came to mixing the movie to the music! NICE!! Thank you once again. -JH

Thank you so much for the NOON YEAR BALL event. Our children joined right in as soon as we arrived in the auditorium. So many activities offered.... THANK YOU!!! The lowering of the LIGHTED BALL, the noise makers, and the confetti poppers were their highlights - I so loved the smiles it brought to their faces. We attended a few in the past, they've always been FUN... We think this was THE BEST so far. Appreciate all employees involved; special THANKS to your TEEN VOLUNTEERS who definitely helped this run smoothly. -LD
