The Unteathered Library
Bexley Public Library Book Bike
The Book Bike was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Gledhill Robbins & Talis Group of HER Realtors and is part of the library's strategic commitment to become more "untethered" from the library building and provide opportunities for patrons to access library resources wherever they are.
The Book Bike was custom-built by Haley Tricycles in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and can carry 260 pounds of books. Equipped with mobile hotspot technology, library staff can register people for library cards and check out books.
