Public Service Associate, Youth Focus
 
Join our vibrant library team dedicated to serving the community and fostering a love for learning among children and young adults. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people through literature, educational activities, and community engagement. The Public Service Associate serves as a model of customer service and support, along with bringing a service-centered approach to all aspects of the role. At Bexley Public Library, we believe that libraries play a crucial role in creating a community of life-long learners. Public Services Associates act as the first step in our mission, providing patrons with an exceptional library experience. 

Primary duties include: 

First point of contact for patron questions or inquiries.
Assisting with youth programming.
Locates, processes, and distributes library materials accurately and efficiently.
Providing references and readers advisory to youth and families.

SALARY: $16.92/ hour

SCHEDULE: 21 hours per week, working every third weekend

Sunday 1-5* (every third weekend)

Monday 9-1

Tuesday 9-1

Wednesday OFF

Thursday 9-1

Friday 9-6 OR every third Saturday 9-6
