BPL Contactless Home Delivery

43209 Zip Code Only

BPL is currently offering home delivery service to anyone residing within the 43209 zip code. We continuously strive to be a leader in the development of creative, bold, and high quality services which meet the evolving needs of our patrons. BPL Delivery is another step toward meeting patrons where they are.


How Does It Work?

  • Place your holds online through our catalog or over the phone at 614-231-2793
  • You will receive hold notifications by phone, email, or text when your materials are ready
  • Only when your hold notifications appear are your items deliverable. Upon confirmation of existing physical holds you will:
    • Complete the online form to request your reserved materials to be delivered to your home in the 43209 zip code.
    • Delivery requests may also be made with a staff member by calling 614-231-2793 during library hours.
    • Home delivery is not a subscription service - each request for delivery must be made individually.
  • Items will be charged to your account and BPL loan rules will apply. You are responsible for the items delivered to your home.
  • Items may be placed in a weather appropriate bag.

FAQs for BPL Home Delivery

  • Items will be delivered to your door in accordance with BPL's current hours of operation and during daylight hours only.
  • Delivery is presently only available within the 43209 zip code.
  • You are welcome to use your CML (or any other CLC member) library card to use our delivery service.
  • All materials we own, or can get, are eligible through our home delivery service.
  • You can call us at 614-231-2793 to can change your delivery/pickup method.
  • You do NOT have to be home to take advantage of this service but you are responsible for the items after we drop them off.
  • We can collect your return materials during a delivery to your home with the following restrictions.
    • BPL staff will not make trips into the community to solely collect patron returns.
    • If you or a member of your household is ill, please do not return items at this time.
    • Bexley Public Library is a fine free library, so anything checked out at our library will not be fined.
  • We are still not accepting material donations at this time.
