Volunteers are key to a vibrant library. Bexley Public Library volunteers help in areas such as material assistance, programming, and local history. A full position description is available below. From Labor Day to Memorial Day, teens can volunteer in the youth department helping with various tasks such as pulling books and assisting with programs. Teens must be at least 12 years old or in grades 7-12 during the 2025-2026 school year to volunteer. Check out the options below for more information about how you can get involved.
Program Volunteer:
For teens interested in more flexible volunteering and would like to assist with special events periodically, subscribe to our monthly teen newsletter. Stay up to date on the latest teen volunteer opportunities such as becoming a reading buddy for our Page Pals program as well as other teen news.
Youth Department Volunteer:
Teens can volunteer on an ongoing basis in our youth department pulling books, prepping crafts and other various tasks. This position involves a time commitment of one 2 hour shift once a week during the school year for a minimum of four weeks.
