BirdieLight

BirdieLight saves lives by educating young people about the danger of unintentional fentanyl ingestion, and by empowering them with tools to detect fentanyl before they ingest. 


CDC Stop Overdose Factsheets

To address the increasing number of overdose deaths related to both prescription opioids and illicit drugs, CDC created a website to educate people who use drugs about the dangers of illicitly manufactured fentanyl, the risks and consequences of mixing drugs, the lifesaving power of naloxone, and the importance of reducing stigma around recovery and treatment options. 


Harm Reduction Ohio 

Harm Reduction Ohio is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports drug policies based on science, health, compassion and human rights. It is the largest distributor of naloxone in Ohio. Order free Naloxone by mail here.

OhioCAN

OhioCAN’s mission is to embrace, educate, and empower those whose lives have been impacted by substance use. OhioCAN takes a harm reduction approach while working with families and friends of people who use drugs.


Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s Opioid Toolkit

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce convened a task force to help Ohio’s employers with opioid problems in their workplaces. This toolkit of resources was created to help employers be better prepared to prevent and respond to the problem


Ohio Overdose Prevention Network 

The purpose of the Ohio OPN is to identify and implement actions for the prevention of drug misuse, abuse and overdose and to serve as a means of communication and collaboration on this topic among interested organizations, agencies and individuals throughout the state.


Project Dawn 

Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone) is a network of opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution programs (OENDP) coordinated by the Ohio Department of Health. Project DAWN programs distribute naloxone and provide training at one or various Project DAWN sites, or locations, to prevent opioid overdose and promote harm reduction.


Shatterproof

Shatterproof is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States. This website includes helpful factsheets about Fentanyl and Naloxone.


SOAR Initiative

Harm reduction-based organization that offers resources for people who use drugs. They offer fentanyl test strips, an app that you can use to report drug contaminations, alerts for contaminated drugs in the area and other resources.
