The R.L. Stine Wall of Fame

Enter… if you dare!

The R.L. Stine Wall of Fame at Bexley Public Library is a spine-tingling celebration of
hometown author R.L. Stine, whose delightfully creepy tales have inspired generations of
readers to love reading—and maybe sleep with the lights on.

This special reference display honors Stine’s incredible literary career and his deep Bexley
roots. Long before Goosebumps gave millions of kids a playful scare, “Bobby” Stine spent
hours exploring the shelves of Bexley Public Library, discovering stories that sparked his
imagination and shaped his future as one of the most successful children’s authors of all time.

Visitors can explore Stine’s most iconic works—including Goosebumps and Fear
Street—alongside his stand-alone novels and the childhood favorites that influenced his
writing. Together, they tell the story of a young reader who grew up to give the world a good
fright (in the best possible way).

Unveiled on October 23, 2025, the R.L. Stine Wall of Fame will debut just in time for
Experience Columbus’ “Get Goosebumps in Columbus” campaign and Stine’s return to
central Ohio for a hometown celebration.

The R.L. Stine Wall of Fame celebrates not only Stine’s achievements but also the spirit of
creativity and curiosity that libraries help nurture in every generation—reminding us all that
the next great storyteller might be discovering their imagination right here in Bexley.
