Seed Library

Borrow, grow, return! “Check out” seeds from BPL’s Seed Library and grow your own food and flowers all season long. Help restore biodiversity to our community and plant native perennials. In the fall, harvest and return seeds to the library to share with your neighbors and restock next year’s collection.

Available seeds include:
  • Flowers (Annuals & Perennials)
  • Fruits and Vegetables
  • Herbs
  • Miscellaneous (Including Cacti & Grasses)

Envelopes and labels are available if you’d like to share your own seeds.

Limit: 5 per person. No library card needed, and all ages welcome.

Thank you to those who have donated seeds to this collection:
Dill’s Greenhouse, Hudson Valley Seed, Seed Savers Exchange,
Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds & The Ohio Herb Center

Need a shovel? BPL lends out 40-inch Kobalt digging shovels! More information HERE.
