Join our furry friends at the library for some one-on-one reading time. Kids entering grades 1-3 will have a chance to spend 10-15 minutes reading to a therapy dog.
Join our furry friends from Therapy Dogs International at the library for some one-on-one reading time. Kids entering grades 1-3 will have a chance to spend 10-15 minutes reading to a therapy dog. Please arrive a few minutes beforehand to sign in and choose a book to read. You can pick out a book from our book cart or bring your own. Depending on the the number of dogs, you may need to wait for a therapy dog to become available, but everyone will have a chance to read to a therapy dog. Registration opens on September 3.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
