How are you celebrating GivingTuesday, this annual global day of giving? Consider a gift that inspires more literacy, more conversations, more music, and more discovery in our community!
Today, December 3rd, is GivingTuesday, the annual day when people from around the world come together to give back and support the causes and organizations close to their hearts.
This year, we hope you'll celebrate GivingTuesday with a tax-deductible gift to our "100 Years of Inspiration" annual fund campaign. In honor of our centennial year, our goal is to raise 100,000 in support of enhancing our programs, expanding our collections, and ensuring that the library remains a cornerstone of our community for the next century.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that an anonymous donor has offered to match every dollar donated by December 31st. Today is a great way to double your impact and directly enrich the experiences of the hundreds of children, parents, neighbors and friends who visit our library each day. Whether it is through a children’s story time, Tea at Three, genealogy research, or an author visit, your gift will inspire generations of lifelong learners to come.
You can also give back by sharing your library love story on social media. Share why you love your library and encourage others to join you in supporting public libraries this holiday season. Use the hashtag #LibraryLove and tag us @BexleyLibrary on Facebook and Instagram.
Thank you for supporting lifelong learning and those in our community who love and benefit from our resources, collections, and programs!
Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
