2021 is the year that US Congressional and Ohio House/Senate districts will be redrawn. Directors of Common Cause Ohio will join us to answer your questions about redistricting in Ohio, including the new rules and processes for drawing both state legislative and federal district lines. Catherine Turcer and Mia Lewis will discuss such topics as:

Catherine Turcer is the executive director of Common Cause Ohio, a grassroots organization devoted to open and accountable government. As a public interest lobbyist, Catherine promotes access to the ballot and open government at the Ohio Statehouse. She coordinates the Fair Districts = Fair Elections Coalition which worked together to successfully pass state legislative and congressional redistricting reform. She is also on the steering committee of the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition and was the director of Ohio Citizen Action's Money in Politics Project for 15 years. In 2006, Catherine received the Spirit of Democracy Award from the Ohio Secretary of State.
Mia Lewis is associate director of Common Cause Ohio. She joined Common Cause during the push to pass 2018’s anti-gerrymandering Issue 1, coordinating teams across Ohio to push for a “Yes” vote. Mia comes from an organizing and educational background, and is passionate about protecting and expanding the right to vote.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
