Speakers from Common Cause Ohio and Ohio Voice will explore the ways in which voting has changed over the years. They will also address how we can protect our freedom to vote in Ohio in the context of recent state and national trends to roll back access to the ballot box.

Mia Lewis is associate director of Common Cause Ohio. She joined Common Cause during the push to pass 2018’s anti-gerrymandering Issue 1, coordinating teams across Ohio to push for a “Yes” vote. Mia comes from an organizing and educational background, and is passionate about protecting and expanding the right to vote.
Camille Wimbish is the Election Administration Director for Ohio Voice. She organizes statewide election protection efforts and coordinates the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition which advocates for modern election reforms and improved voter access. Camille also coordinates the Ohio Fair Courts Alliance, which is dedicated to creating a court system that exemplifies and protects equity, fairness and justice for all. Prior to joining Ohio Voice in 2012, she was a litigation attorney in Cleveland and Columbus. Camille received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Smith College.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
