Award-winning poet, Rikki Santer, will read from her poetry collection, Resurrection Letter: Leonora, Her Tarot, and Me, a homage to the vision and joy of surrealist painter, Leonora Carrington.
Award-winning poet, Rikki Santer, will read from her recent poetry collection, Resurrection Letter: Leonora, Her Tarot, and Me, a rich homage to the vision and joy of surrealist painter, Leonora Carrington. Accompanied by a powerpoint presentation featuring images of Carrington along with her artwork, Santer will captivate you as she “follows Leonora through sequined tunnels, sister moons, gothic mansions, and the shaman’s cloak of the Tarot.”

Rikki Santer’s poetry has received many honors including several Pushcart, Ohioana and Ohio Poet book award nominations as well as a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities. She is also a member of the teaching artist roster of the Ohio Arts Council, a vice president of the Ohio Poetry Association, and a member of the poetry troupe, Concrete Wink. Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
