One of the curators of DACO's latest exhibit, Maria Burke, will trace the evolution of naturalist artists and how they have paid homage to the beauty of nature throughout history.
Trace the evolution of the naturalist artist and witness how these visionary creators have paid homage to the beauty of nature throughout history. From traversing the realms of devotional art forms to methods used in illustration, sculpture and preservation, learn how artists have documented discoveries found in nature. You’ll also get an up-close look at how these mediums are used today by Ohio-based naturalists and artists alike, as seen in the exhibition, It’s an Honor to be Here: Ohio Nature Artists in Their Natural State.
