Qigong is a main branch of Chinese Medicine. It is the practice of accumulating, circulating and cultivating the body’s energy. This practice offers simple, easy to learn, self empowering exercises for bringing your emotions and body into balance. These varied exercises can be lifting and energizing or calming and sedating so you can tailor your daily practice to what is needed in the moment. When practiced regularly with conscious breathing and mindful awareness, qigong stimulates the body’s inherent healing energy and fosters its healthful flow throughout the body.

Instructor Bio
Rebecca Ness, LAc, OM is the owner of Monarch Acupuncture & Herbs in Bexley, Ohio. Rebecca integrates many healing modalities including acupuncture, herbs, moxibustion, cupping, Shiatsu massage, Qigong, nutritional counseling and supplements. Rebecca received her MS in Chinese medicine from The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California and completed a seven year internship with Dr. Robert Johns in Berkeley, California. She is licensed by the State of Ohio as well as California and holds a national diplomate status in East Asian medicine. Rebecca doesn’t treat symptoms, she treats people. Listening to her patients is the most important tool she uses in her acupuncture practice. Rebecca offers consistent, nurturing, attentive care in her quest to help patients find balance and whole health in their bodies and minds. She believes that helping individuals to feel healthy, both mentally and physically, supports them in living their ideal life. She believes that when each person is living at their best level, then we can thrive as a community and as a society. Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
