BPL's Cookbook Club will host a special bread making demonstration with bakery owner and club member Brandi Muhammad of JNY Bakery, LLC. This special edition meeting is open to both club members and the surrounding community. Learn to make your own bread dough that is ready to bake at home for dinner. Bring herbs, cheese, and other ingredients to add to your personal loaf, plus a couple of mixing bowls for the fermentation process. The yeast, flour and other basic ingredients will be provided. Brandi Muhammad, founder and CEO of Just Naturally Yummy Bakery and Catering Company, LLC, is a successful entrepreneur, mother of three children, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. For over a decade, Brandi has been working towards her goal of being a business owner. She learned about enterprises by working with other local business owners, perfected her customer service skills, and obtained an Associate's Degree in Food Service and Restaurant Management from Columbus State Community College. She travels to a variety of events, both locally and abroad, and has won awards for her delicious organic baked goods. Brandi accomplishes her goals with an intense passion for baking. She works alongside her children and plans to pass JNY Bakery down from generation to generation.
Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
