Join us at the Bexley Library for an Art Builds Community workshop with mixed media artist Michelle Renee Garrison! Explore creative mixed media techniques in a fun, welcoming, hands-on experience!
We’re excited to welcome mixed media artist Michelle Renee Garrison to the Bexley Library as the latest artist in our Art Builds Community workshop series! Michelle’s vibrant, layered work—full of texture, color, and thoughtful detail—was featured in a Bexley Library exhibition in November and December 2025, and we’re thrilled to have her back in a hands-on setting. In this engaging workshop, participants will explore mixed media techniques while learning directly from Michelle’s creative process. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious to try something new, this workshop offers a fun, supportive space to experiment, connect, and create alongside fellow community members. No experience required, all supplies provided. Please register, space is limited.
The Art Builds Community Program Series is made possible through the generosity and funding of the Rath Creative Arts Fund of the Bexley Community Foundation.
Michelle Renee Garrison was born on Valentine's Day and grew up in Worthington, Ohio. Her interest in art began at an early age while attending youth classes at Columbus College of Art and Design. As a student at Thomas Worthington High School, she began to exhibit her paintings competitively at both local and state levels. After high school, she lived in both Arizona and Oregon and continued to show her works at local galleries. Upon returning to Ohio, she began to work in a variety of mediums, one of which was Origami, a skill she learned from a Japanese childhood friend.
Library Parking & Entrance Information:
While the library's main entrance is under construction, we remain open. Clear signage will guide visitors to a temporary, fully accessible entrance via a ramp in the southeast alley, leading to the dock entrance.
The library parking lot also remains open, with temporary entry and exit available via Euclaire Avenue only. Parking may be limited, so we encourage you to arrive early and use street parking on Euclaire, Mound, and other nearby streets.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
