Kris Tann, will introduce teens to yoga as meditation through a one-hour Astanga-inspired yoga practice that will help you feel grounded while boosting your energy. Breathe, move, and relax!
Bexley Teens: Breathe, move and relax during a study break at BPL. Local yoga enthusiast, Kris Tann, will lead you through a one-hour Astanga-inspired yoga practice that will help you feel grounded while boosting your energy. Our yoga practice will include twists, backbends and balancing poses that will leave you feeling refreshed. Yoga is a precious resource used to create balance throughout the nervous system with the breath - the link between body and mind. Kris will share about bodily shapes that boost energy and shapes that promote relaxation. You will also learn about Astanga yoga and some of the people who brought "modern" yoga to the United States. No prior experience necessary. Bring a yoga mat if you have one!
The Yoga for Teens Wellness Series is generously funded by a grant from the Bexley Wellness Fund of the Bexley Community Foundation.
