ART IN BELXEY EVENT
Bexley Art Library Preview on the patio
We invite you to check out the Bexley Art Library, the newest addition to our Unique Circulating Collections. The art collection, which features 15 curated pieces by talented local and regional artists, will be on display during this special event. Starting with this preview, the art will be able to be placed on hold by patrons with a Bexley Public Library card, and then available for check-out (like a book!) in mid-October. The Bexley Art Library is generously funded by the State Library of Ohio, Ohio Arts Council, and the Susie and Charlie Rath Creative Arts Fund of the Bexley Community Foundation.
Community Chalk Collage in the parking lot
Bring your family and creativity to help the Bexley Women's Club create a chalk collage that reflects the unity and beauty of our community. Each participant will be provided with one bag of chalk and a designated, socially distant, spot to create their own unique section of the large collage.
Rain date scheduled for Sunday, October 11th from 2:00-4:00 pm.
Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
